High Precision 5 volt LDO and Simulation Model of LM1085

hello Members, i am in search of high precision 5 volt voltage regulator to power up my strain gauges but unfortunately till now i couldnt able to find one. i need highly precise 2 amp 5 volt voltage regulator i came across Lm1085 can you guide me is it precise or not ? and also when i download the model it has only .lib file and not .TLD file and Tina ti needs .TLD file too, kindly guide me. Thansk

    What do you mean by precise? Do you mean Vout variation? Or regulation/transient performance? Please take a look at the Electrical Characteristics table in the datasheet here to help answer your question:

    Also, regarding your TINA question, please take a look at this app note:
    www.ti.com/.../slva527.pdf

    Unfortunately, we do not have a TINA model released yet for this part, so you will have to import the .lib file into TINA as shown in the app note.
