maybe there is an better parts available. I´m beginning to sort out how to do it. The problem is: also from TI- there is nothing available which can charge more than 20V! Nobody has something for that. Would be a big seller!

What is your input voltage? What is the current rating and total wattage of the battery cells? How quickly do you need to charge the battery cells and once they are charged, do you need need the charger to float a potential or cut out power?

The regulator can be made to drive a 30V output from a higher Vin. Ensure to not tie BIAS to Vout.

the battery has 28.8V - I need to charge at least with 3A, better 4A or 5A. But in the end of charging I want to go down with charging current to 0.5A to ensure a correct balancing. I have a controller which can manage this. Once the 28.8V is reached I need constant voltage.

Input voltage can be 32V.

We are using Ti DC/DC chargers in another application- 2 cells- with great success, but this seems to be hard to do!
