  • Hi Jinhyung,

I'm not certain I understand the question.

If the bq78350 is used on the EVM, it will control the AFE registers from its settings.  If you change the AFE registers by talking on the SDA & SCL lines, the bq78350 will find the change and correct the values to its settings.  The default OCD protection in the AFE is 8 mV or 8 A on the EVM and is the default.

To change the Protect 1, Protect 2 and Protect 3 registers when using the bq78350, change the appropriate setting in the bq78350 data memory using bqStudio.  This should help you get the performance you want.

Protect 1 is set by the Protections | ASCD | Threshold and Delay parameter

Protect 2 is set by the Protections | AOLD | Threshold and Delay parameter

Protect 3 is set by the Permanent Fail | AFE SOV/AFE SUV | SOV and SUV Delay parameter

It seems you may be using a translation program, so I may have misunderstood the question.  It might be helpful if you contact the TI office in your region.
