Hi Team,

My customer is evaluating TPS61071 on his board and found undershoot about -700mV at SW pin as the following.

Is it possible case to damage the device?
Absolute maximum ratings shows -300mV in datasheet, so I would confirm it just in case.

Best Regards,
Yaita

  • no, the negative voltage would not damage the device. the maximum rating in the datasheet is the DC voltage, not pulse voltage. it is no problem to find a short time of negative voltage in SW pin in normal operation. refer to this application note "SLVA494A " for more detail

    thanks
