Stacking bq76PL536EVM-3

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ76PL536EVM-3

Hello,

I would like to stack 2 bq76PL536EVM-3 boards. The goal is connect 30 series LiFePO4 cells for testing and I have a doubt regarding to grounding.

On each board, there are capacitors between the grounds of each IC. But when I connect another board, there will not be a capacitor between groung of IC3 to IC1 of the next board, despite the cells are still connected in series.

So, do I need to connect these differents grounds for proper cells measurements? If not, just forwarding the communication signals and lower Bat to upper cell0 connection is enough?

Thank you in advance.

Bests,

Douglas
