What is the exact purpose of D3 and D4 on the EVM of te LMG5200 ?
(the diodes that bypasses the R14 and R2 in the RC filter circuits of the PWM logic driver)

D3 and D4 are part of the dead time generating circuitry. They work with R14 and C22 for the top and R2 and C35 for the bottom FET to delay just the turn on time, generating a dead time that will prevent a shoot through condition.

Somehow I didn't notice that these are inverters so the logic is opposite - actually a high on their input shuts down the FETs faster using these diodes.
