I am trying to replace one cells from a dell tablet (2 cell total), and BQ30423 is the PMIC.
The voltages and capacity are similar, and this seems to be successful.
However, I would like a datasheet to understand risks.

Correction, I am not able to charge this modified pack, and occasionally reports bizarre SOC such as 0% when OCV is ~4.2V, what I have tried!
a. replaced one cell with smaller cell and matching OCV of original cell (no protection circuitry on cell)
b. replaced both cells with similarly sized cells, and comparable OCV.
c. tried running dell command power manager, changing profile.
Can you provide any general guidance?
