thanks for the example pdf but this pdf says only how to read/retrieve the chem_id of soc chip but i want to change the default id from li-ion to pba(lead acid) chem_id

I thought that you wanted to change the Device Chemistry parameter in data flash. You cannot change the actual chemistry data using embedded code. You can change it using bqStudio and then save an srec file. You can program the srec using the embedded tools and it will contain the chemistry data.
