is there a Fuel Gauege which can handle 1 Li-Ion Cell AND faeture SMBus?

I am trying to find a fuel gauge IC for a single cell Li-Ion battery. The communication interface must be SMBus. All I have been able to find is the Bq76PL102.

 

is bq76PL102 a viable candidate, or do we not have a solution at this time?

    We have many fuel gauges for single-cell Li-Ion that use I2C, but none speak the I2C "variant" of SMBus.  Electrically they will work fine on an SMBus system, but the host code may need some tweaking for the specific gauge commands as not all of the SMBus specs and features are met.
