Hi,

When no source is connected to the IN input, OUT is not powered strictly from the battery. If connect and disconnect to the IN input , OUT is powered strictly from the battery.

what is the reason?

This is not the expected behavior of the chip. I verified with the bq24075 EVM and the output can be directly powered from battery without connecting input power.

What is your battery voltage?

chip works correctly. The matter bq29700 chip. When disconnecting the battery and connect it gives 1.5 volts.
