I received the following question form a customer interested in using the TPS53014.
Why is the TPS53014 only rated at a max Vout of 7V if it can handle an input up to 28V? What is the limiting factor of this spec?
Since this part is a controller and the output voltage set by feedback resistors, as long as the duty cycle is kept below 83% can the output of a buck converter using this device be higher? The SW pin can handle up to 30V according to the d/s.
