TLV700 "EN" pin threshold

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV700

Hi all,

I am using the TLV700 (3v3 version) and my question is about the Enable pin.

Is it possible to use it as analog input by connecting a voltage divider (one Res between IN and EN plus one between EN and GND) in order to define either power on or power off Voltage? And if so what are the min/max tolerances on the threshold? I only see V_EN_HI_MAX (0,9V), but no V_EN_HI_MIN is specified. Same goes for V_EN_LO_MIN (0,4V), and no V_EN_LO_MAX.

  • Hi Serge,

While it is possible to divide down the input, the enable functionality is more logic based. In the Electrical Characteristics table, it is stated that the device will be enabled when Ven is 0.9V to Vin. The device will be disabled from 0V to 0.4V. A more accurate way to have the device enabled when Vin reaches a particular voltage would be to use a SVS to monitor the Vin rail.

    Very Respectfully,
    Ryan
