TPS73601

Hello

1. I would like to know if in the TPS73601DCQG4 package there is an internal short between pins 3 and 6 (thermal pad)?

2. If not, is there a point in connecting one of them to input GND and the other to output GND, and if not, please

explain again what do you really mean at p. 13 in the device datasheet about Ground separation

3. Can you please review the attached schematics and send me comments?

4. I though about using this LDO for space products. Are you familiar with TID tests, and if so has this device passed these tests?

If so, please send me the  documentation of these tests.

Thanks

Amnon

  • Hi Amnon,

The idea is to keep the grounds for the input and output capacitor separated as best as possible to reduce the chance of coupling through the ground plane.  Due to the package solution your idea of connecting the input ground to one and the output ground to the other would achieve the desired affect.

My only comment on your schematic is that you appear to have shorted R1.

    Very Respectfully,

    Ryan
