[bq34z100-g1] Possible to change button press duration?

In the datasheet, it states,

"the LED pattern will only be displayed after holding an LED display button for one to two seconds."

Is there any way to change that behavior? For example, turn LED display on as soon as user press the button (not holding it)?

The gauge only offers two options to light the LEDs. Hold the button for at least one second or set the LED_ON bit. The LEDs will sty on continuously, if the LED_ON bit is set.

Does TI have another gas gauge that has similar spec as the bq34z100-g1, but respond to button press shorter than 1 second for LED display?

Our 4S gauges have an edge triggered LED control button, but the bq34z100 is a different architecture. The bq78350 is our only gauge that can support more than 4S and has an edge trigger LED control button. It is a CEDV type gauge.
