Searching DC/DC Step-Down 36V -> 12V, 5V, 3.3V

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMZ31707, TPS54340, TPS54240, TPS54540

Dear all,

I'm searching for 5 different  DC/DC step-Down converters for my application. These are the specifications:

Vin = 36 - 27V

Vout=

1. 12V - 3A

2. 12V - 2A

3. 5V - 3A

4 5V - 2A

5. 3.3V - 4A

Can someone help?

Best,

Cortex

  • There are really a lot of possibilities there.  You might try searching here to get some ideas of what we offer:

    Link seems to be broken...but we have 197 possible buck converter solutions with input voltages above 30 V.  Can you give us some idea about your requirements and what features you may need?  Do you have a preferred control mode (voltage mode, current mode, COT?)  Operating frequency, etc?  That could help narrow the selection some.

  • Dear John,
    the device I'm searching should be EMI compatibility for medical device. Secondly, the device should have the characteristic of LMZ31707 but with input voltage 27-36V.

    The LMZ31707 is my current solution but I have to improve my design to fit the 27-36V specific. Maybe a two stage solution can be good.
    Best,
    M
  • Anything from my group would be non-synchronous solution such as TPS54240 for 2A, TPS54340 for 3A and TPS54540 for up to 5A output. I'm sure there are other possibilities from other groups. If you like LMZ31707, I'm sure you could pre-regulate down to 12 V, and then use that for your 5V and 3.3V rails. Many possibilities here.
