convert 5 v into 12 v

there are several boost solution targeted at different output current

1. could you share your output current?

2. do you need true disconnection function. 

3. what is your expected efficiency.

There are many possible solutions for 5V to 12V boost converter. How much output current do you need? How efficient does it need to be? Any special features required? If you can answer these questions we can point you in the right direction.

i require 1 a output current, low cost. using this 12 v i want to drive general op amp op07

it seem the op07 doesn't require 1A current. i check the datasheet of an OP07 "www.ti.com/.../op07c.pdf". its input current is only several mili-Amp. the output current of converter is very importance because it relates to the cost and solution size. let me know if there is misunderstanding.
if the output current is several decades mili-amp, please have a look at TPS61040. if output current current is 1A level, please use TPS61175 or TPS61088.

Take a look at TPS61041. You can get up to 200mA from it or use TPS61040 (up to 400mA). Reference design works well. There are a lot calculators in the web to find parameters for discrete elements. Have a nice day!
