bq78PL114S12 low power ship mode fails if 'safe disconnect' feature is used at bqWizard

Two items:

1. Safe Disconnect is to be used when you intend to disconnect power to the bq78PL114 after you terminate SMBus activity.  It should not be used when entering ship mode or other times where you are NOT going to disconnect power to the device.

2. Ship mode has a design error where it can exit ship mode after a random period of time.  The root cause of this has been identified and will be corrected on the next firmware release.

...so we have to live the next periode with this ship-mode exiting behaviour. It is not a big problem at the moment, but good to know that it is, like it is.

I see, you have often directly the answer to a problem which took me a couple of days to detect, that it exists.

Do you have a list with known problems/errors/issues, fine would be if coming with known solutions?

The only other firmware bug identified is as follows:

System Present FET control, bit 13 of Hardware Configuration register, does not work as described using the bq78PL114S12 firmware.  Section 5.2.2 (page 39) and Table 9-3 (page 55) in SLUU330A indicate that the CHG pin output is driven low to shut off the charge MOSFET when the System Present Control bit is set.  This does not occur.  This function works correctly in the bq78PL114 with firmware 4452.
