BQ27742 Sense Resistor

TI SPEC sense resistor is 5 to 10 mohm. But it limited OCC is about 6A.

If change it to 3mohm, whether we would meet leakage current risk? or other comment?

This devcie can support 16000mAh? or any limit range?

Hi Simon,

I responded to your inquiry offline allready. You can use the device with a 3mohm sense, however, the cc deadband will have to be modified as described in the TRM of the device. The max design capacity according to the TRM is 14500, but i believe the gauge can be tricked to gauge high capacity battery like our mulitcell gauges by using the step in the attached app note. If you decide to use this approach, you should verify the gauge for accuracy.
