Dear TI support staff,

After the BQ51013B establishes a connection from a TX station and power is being received, what causes the CHG pin to go high impedance?

I have a LED connected to it as a power good indicator and it dims as I misalign both coils. I'm curious why it is not steady lit since the connection is not interrupted.

Whenever the output of the receiver is enabled, the /CHG pin will be turned on ad the LED will be on. However, if he Vrect-reg doesn't converge at the no-load target voltage, the output will not be turned on. When you misalign the coils, the coupling is not good, which impacted Vrect.

I understand... Now what is the difference between VREG and VOUT?

RECT is a different pin of the device, it is the input of the LDO an the VOUT is the regulated output of the LDO.
