Common mode noise

Hello,

I am working with a system which dont have earth for the single phase SMPS section.

In that case on the input side for common mode noise rejection, there will be any significance for Y-capacitors connected between earth and line or neutral ?

You will still need to consider using a Y capacitor or common mode inductor. Switching noise has an insidious habit and means of always finding a return path through earth. For an isolated system, the worst case situation occurs when the output load is grounded to safety earth.

Yes, correct, I will consider using only common mode choke as atleast it will suppress the common mode noise by presenting high impedance to the CM noise for system without earth.
