See attached Altium PCB file. Please keep in mind that this EVM is no longer supported by TI. However, I can help you answer any questions regarding the official bq24610 EVM (HPA422A).

Thanks very much for the design files.

Is the file natively an Altium designer file or converted from Orcad? We’d like to verify this as the automatic conversion result might introduce unexpected element needing manual correction.

And do we have schematics design files?

Also, HPA603 shares the same bq246xx charger and differs from 422 only at overvoltage protection circuits, etc. Is discontinuation of HPA603 is not the result of any performance issue of the board, or is there any defection with the design?

Matt,

The file was originally a PCAD file which was converted to Altium with the built-in conversion tool. We do have the schematic files, but they are in PCAD format.

The HPA603 was more of a design example of doing high voltage rather than an EVM (similar to the design examples in our TI Design section). There is nothing defective with the design to the best of our knowledge. The bq24610EVM (HPA422) is the official evaluation tool for the bq24610 charger.

We also have PCAD installed. Could you also attach the original PCAD design and schematic files?
