Hello,

According to datasheet P.11, TLV1117 has the Self Protection Function.
Could you please let me know the threshold of self protection?

Is the self protection occured by output current threshold or thermal protection?

Ryuji-san,

The device has over current and over temperature protection.
The data sheet has values for current limit in EC tables and figure 1.
Over-temperature should occur near 170C.

Thank you for the reply.
Could you please let me know the hysteresis of thermal shut down?
I think that the TLV1117 will turned on after cooling the device from 170C. Is it nearly 150C?

Ryuji san,

There is some hysteresis in the design. I don't know how large.
It is likely turned back on before falling to 150C, however the data sheet only promises 125C operation.
