TPS2500 replace TPS2041?

Hi,

Both ICs have current limiting function and we have previously relied on tps2041 as the USB power current whereas 5V is generated with boost converter.

If we replace tps2041 with tps2500, we have tested and found that that tps2500 provides correct voltage output. Can we use tps2500 as a single integrated solution both for 5V generation and USB protection?
