Hi...We are receiving the following error using BQTester V2.1.3 (BQ20z65 V1.00)

- Error reading int temperature from board "TesterA" -

The Station Setup has been configured with "On Board Temp Probe" and "Use For Test" both checked.

In the BQTester Configuration window we have checked the "Int. Sensor" box for the Fuel Gauge Temp Select.

Any idea as to the cause of the error?

Chad,
I did not receive the error message that you received, but the program failed to calibrate the internal temperature sensor. The externals will calibrate okay, so we will have to check the problem. Can you calibrate the external temperature sensors?

Hi Thomas,

We do not have any external temp sensor connected. It was assumed that we would be able to use internal temp sensor for setup and validation. TMP100's are on the way and we will check those.

Chad,

Try increasing Temperature Max Offset to 100. I found that this will fix the problem.

Hi Thomas.

I am still receiving an error 65559. Looks like a software compatibility (Version 2.1.4) issue?
Also can I post up images of my station setup config for you to look at and see if there are any problems with them?

For some reason I cannot paste the file...
Can you tell me which temp probe select boxes should be checked and which fuel gauge temp select boxes should be checked?
Also, should "No Tracking......" be selected in the second setup window.

You can select the "On Board Temp Probe", No tracking and the Int Sensor to calibrate the device internal temperature sensor.

Hi Thomas,

We still receiving internal temp probe error msg. We also tried connecting external sensor. Received error for the ext. temp probe as well.

Any other suggestions?

I am not sure what else to suggest. Maybe the bqMtester is damaged. I can test your setup, if you want to send it to me.

Hi Thomas,

We got through the temp sensor problem and are now receiving DEVICE_VERSION_MISMATCH Error 65538.

(Went with powered USB hub, switched EV2300, renamed board in setup....not which variable helped)

We are using the BQ20z65 v1.00 target file (BQ20z65DBT-R1 on board).

Still think a damaged bqMtester?

The release bq20z65-R1 is v1.05. Try replacing your Target file with this one. I added the bq20z65-R1 v1.05 to it.

Hi Thomas,

I replaced the Target file and still get 65538 error. However, it doesn't seem to update the setup file. Please see pic. Is the device/version correct? Seems it should've updated to the 1.05.

You should see 650 1.05 in the list of options when you press the Select button. I added it to the Targets file.

Yes, I did pick that but it did not update in the setup (after save and proceed). It is still calling out the 650 1.00.
The target file you sent still has 650.1.00. Below are the target file entries. I'm assuming the second line should read "650.1.05"

"bq20z65 v1.00","650.1.00"
"bq20z65 v1.05","650.1.00"

I would make the change but it denies me access. Actually tried that yesterday by moving, renaming, making the change, and then moving back to proper directory.

Also, can you verify the latest versions for the Station Setup SW and bq Multistation Tester SW.

It looks like I left out a 5. Here is the corrected file. The Single Station program was release in 2002. Version 1.0.0.62

Getting through the DEVICE_VERSION_MISMATCH error earlier today, I now receive SENSE_RES_CAL_HIGH (65570) error.

We have manipulated to value and tolerance within the setup, but no luck. Our sense resistor value is 30 milliohm.
