TPS92513 UVLO and fsw accuracy

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS92513

Hi,

My customer has questions about TPS92513.
Could you tell us about questions?

[Question]
- How mucu is the variation of I1, Ihys, Resd as min/max in all temperature range?

- Can the UVLO pin be used to implement the enable/disable function?
If it is ok, is there any sequence requirement between UVLO and PDIM?
  Please show figure below.

- What is accuracy of fsw at RRT=110k(fsw=1MHz)?

Best Regards,
tateo

  • I1, Ihys, and Resd should vary about +/-15% according to the IC designer familiar with the process, but he recommends using +/-20% for some margin if it is a critical spec. We do not have enough characterization data over enough lots to provide a guaranteed number however. The switching frequency will also fall within +/-20%. This number is heavily guardbanded so the reality is it should be much tighter, the UVLO pin currents are likely much tighter in reality as well. Again, no guarantees.
Yes, the UVLO pin functions as a low power shutdown when pulled low. There are no sequencing issues. You can apply PWM even when the device is shutdown and it will not hurt anything, you can also start back up with the PWM signal applied.
