We are using the BMS IC BQ79620 in conjunction with a microcontroller for CANbus communication. We would like to add Fuel Gauge capability, but don't need the additional features of the Companion IC, therefore plan to use the BQ34Z100-G1.
My question is; can we use the same actual current sense resistor with both ICs - at the same time? We would like to maintain the current sensing in the BQ79620 but at the same time use the same signals to the BQ34Z100-G1.
