Hi


Can Over voltage protection (30V) of LM9061 be turned off?  If yes, how?  Can LM9061 be used in 28V supply voltage system?  Vcc of LM9061 is 7V-26V, we are using this driver in 28V supply voltage, can I step down voltage from 28V supply voltage to 24V for Vcc?

    Hi John,

    I do not support the LM9061, but can provide some initial feedback. The LM9061 has a charge pump overdrive voltage spec of Vcc + 7V (min), Vcc + 15V (max).

    So if you supply Vcc of 24V and Vin of 28V, then the concern is a worst-case Vgs of 3V (or less if including tolerances of the voltages).

    If your application goes to voltage 28V +, then you may consider the LM5060 which is similar to the LM9061 but has a wider Vin range.
