BQ24266 not charging...

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24266

Hello.

I have a system with BQ24266 and Li-pol(1cell).

System was configured as shown in the attached diagram.
The connection to the system before the battery voltage is 3.6V.
Connecting the battery to the system, is an external power source but the results turned out as follows.
==========================
VCC_EXT : 5V(Power supply)
IUSB3,2,1 : 0,0,1
VSYS : 4.3V
VBatt : 3.6V
/PG : Low
/CHG : Low
==========================
When being charged should be aware that the Vbatt 4.3V.
However, the voltage of the battery voltage Vbatt is measured with 3.6V.
Can you ever know why?
  • At what voltages were IUSBx pins? Is there a 10kohm thermistor attached at TS?  If not, then R24 and R29 need to be changed to prevent the TS function activating. If charging and V(BAT) is > VMINSYS ~=3.6V, then V(SYS) should be only slightly higher than V(BAT), not 4.3V.

  • Hello.

    Thank you for your response.

    IUSB voltage is the same as the attached picture.

    Then...

    In the case of TS Pin it is not connected with the battery pack.

    R24 and R29 have the values defined by reference to just Datasheet.

  • The resistors on IUSBx pins appear to be DNP so that means the IUSBx pins are floating?
    Also, the datasheet resistor values assume their is a 10k thermistor attached from TS to GND. If no thermistor then either set R24=R29 or remove R29 to disable the TS function.
