Hi,
We are using TPS63020 to power GSM PA (2A burst) from single cell Li-Ion battery.
Vinmax= 4.2V
Vinmin = 3.0V (battery at low capacity and temperature 0C, some voltage drop on wires and undervoltage protection circuit)
Vout = 3.7V
We find on three modules that the maximum current we can get is 1.9A. Input current is around 3A. We are compensating for the voltage drop on the wires and have exactly 3.0V at the input capacitors. We expected to extract more power.
What is the problem? Decoupling is 100nF very close the the pins + 22uF 1210 on input/output.
Another question, do you think our Vinmin is too low for a Li-Ion cell at 0 deg C temperature? Input current will be around 3A if we are boosting the voltage.
Thank you very much.
