LMR14206 current limit clarification

May we knnow why LMR14206 datasheet saying the "Current limit at 0% duty cycle" of page 4.

  • Hi Eric,

    It means that the current limit for the part is dependent on the duty cycle. Since internally, the current information is added with the sawtooth ramp generator before it is compared to the current limit value. The amount of ramp added is proportional to the duty cycle. During the test, the current limit measured at 0 % duty cycle means that the ramp added value is 0 and all the information is the current information.
