Chemistry Selection using bqStudio failing

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, BQ34Z100-G1

Hello,

I'm a new user of the battery management studio software with a EV2300 and a bq34z1xxEVM.

I am trying to configure it for a lead acid chemistry.

I have two issues:

1) When I boot the bqstudio software it auto detects the device: "0100_0_06" which is not listed in the boot screen.

So I chose the closest fit "0100_0_16-bq34z100G1.bqz". I get the following message:  Is this correct to continue or ???

  • The EVM is programmed with the old firmware. Just tab through the errors until you get to the main screen. Select the Programming button and it will take you to the Programming screen. Browse to find the bq34z100-G1 srec file on your computer. You can download it from the bq34z100-G1 website, if you do not have it. Press the Program button and the firmware should load. Press the Execute FW button after it completes and then select FIle >> Restart to restart bqSudio. The program should auto-detect the part this time.

  • That works...Thank you Thomas,

Sorry for the delay getting back to you. I'm up and running with the bqstudio and the EVM now.
I have successfully initiated the system with an existing Chem ID as well.

    regards,
