I intend to use RCD for generating a Dead Time , approx 4.35 uSec. My question is regarding its Inputs , whether they can accept the slow moving Inputs that are created by the Capacitor charging of the RCD , or is there any Input current peaking as in seen in many CMOS Ckts .

Typical values may be 1.5 nF , 2.9 K Resistor shunted by a Diode .

Lastly is this IC available only in SON package or SOIC version is also either available or is being planned ?

Hi Varunesh,

1. The UCC27527/8 is able to accept slow dV/dt input signals, due to the CMOS input logic which has better noise immunity with wide hysteresis (17% of VDD typically).

2. By 1.5nF capacitor with 2.9k resistor you may not get expected delay(4.35us), the delay must be counted from input high threshold VIN_H, please refer to Equation 1 in Datatsheet for calculating the propagation delay of RCD circuits,

3. The UCC27527 is orderable only in SON package, the UCC27528 is orderable both SON and SOIC package.
