TWL6032 DEVOFF -> USB Charger -> Can't power on

If the system is plugged with wall-mount USB charger and we submit DEVOFF to TWL6032, the TWL6032 shall OFF and then restart since wall-mount USB charger is still there. (without unplug and plug again)

Is my understanding correct? or we need to unplug wall-mount USB charger and then plug it again in order to boot up TWL6032?

Hey James,

In this case, the device will stay OFF if the DEVOFF command is used. The turn on conditions are described in Figure 4-4 in the datasheet. For a T3 (WAIT-ON to ACTIVE) transition, it requires a triggering event. For this case, the USB charger would need to be unplugged and plugged back in before device would turn back on.

If you would like a restart rather than an OFF command, the SW_RESET bit in the PHOENIX_DEV_ON register (0x25 bit 6) will reset the part.
