Hello,

I'm interested in using the TPS54560, but this provides insufficient output current for my application. In order to double the current output of the converter, I’d like to connect two of these chips in parallel. Can you confirm that this is possible and outline the way in which this should be done?

TPS54560 is really not designed for parallel operation. You may possibly be able to get it to work, but I don't generally recommend it. There is no provision for accurate current sharing between two devices, and past experience has shown these parallel circuits to be very sensitive to layout.

Thank-you! I'm not aware of an alternative DC/DC converter similar to the TPS54560 that would be rated for at least 10A output current. Do you have any suggestions on obtaining increased current drive at the output?
