BQ40Z60 Gauging Issue

I am using the BQ40Z60EVM to charge 2 series Li-ion NCR18650B. I have completed the learning cycle; max error updated to 1%, update status changed to 6, and qmax updated. Even still the gauging is not working. SOC shows 100% regardless of actual charge. I have attached a .log file of a brief charge. Please let me know if there are any settings that are incorrect.

I reviewed your log file and it looks like you have a parameter configuration problem. Please export an srec file and attach it to the message string.

srec.txt

The site would not allow me to attach a .srec. I have changed the extension to .txt. On the subject of firmware, would it be possible to modify the firmware for our application? We are using the emergency shutdown button as a turn on/ turn off button for our device. As you know, the shutdown button is configured as a hold and release to turn on or off. We desire a push on / hold off. Do you think this is something that can be done with a firmware change?

The Term Voltage is still setup for the default 3S configuration. You need to set the Term Voltage to the threshold where you want SOC = 0%. The Minimum Output Voltage and Voltage Resolution parameters are also still setup for a 3S configuration. If you are using the EVM, then set the Minimum Output Voltage = 4214 and the Voltage Resolution = 16.

Issue a reset command after changing these parameters.

We do not plan to change the implementation of the Emergency Shutdown feature. The SYSPRES feature works similar to what you need, so you may be able to utilize it.
