Hello.
I have several doubts about USB and bq24160 charger. I hope somebody could help. These are my questions:
1.- In the USB specs, when the device is not CONNECTED (it´s ATTACHED, but not CONNECTED) the maximum current that the device could draw is 2,5 mA. The same current is available when the bus is SUSPENDED. The bq24160 detects a DCP or SDP/CDP and sets the maximum current to 1A5 or 100mA. The question is: Do we have 100mA at least always available even if the bus is suspended or if the device is attached but not connected? I know this is more an USB quesion than a question related to bq24160, but I do not find this information anywhere.
2.- After detection, the D+/- lines are available for communications?. I mean, could these lines be connected in parallel with a uC acting as a device?
3.- This is a question related to the first one. We do not need our device to be BC1.1-1.2 compliant nor USB 1.0-2.0-3.0-3.1 compliant, so is it possible to draw 100 mA from VBUS even if is suspended or the device is not connected? Again it is a question related to USB, but I need some help about this, please.
Ok. That is all for the moment. Thank you very much in advance!!!
