BQ25505 Without a load

I'm in need of an energy harvesting IC, and I stumbled upon the BQ25505. But i was wondering if it works without connecting any load i.e I only want it to charge a rechargeable battery on the secondary battery pin. Is this possible?

Yes. You can use any of the bq255xx to charge a rechargeable battery. BQ25505 has VBAT_SEC for rechargeable battery connection. BQ25504/25570 has VBAT for battery connection.
