Hello,

I want to see TPS65218 Errata.

In this document,

P6, NOTE:
The TPS65218 power management IC that is used on the AM437x GP EVM rev. 1.2 has
several issues that can affect operation. See the errata for the TPS65218 for more details.

But I can't see TPS65218 Errata anyware.

Matsuzaki-san,

Thank you for your post. The TPS65218 errata which is mentioned in the AM437x GP EVM references an older version of the silicon which is no longer supported. However, edits to the datasheet of the current silicon revision are being made and should be made public in the next week or so. I will make sure to point you to this once this is available as there is new information in this datasheet that might be pertinent to TPS65218's operation in your system. Kundmueller-san,

TPS65218 DCDC6's DC accuracy seems not good for AM437x.

That is why TPS78101(accuracy is 3%) is used for AM437x.VDDS_RT, I think.

Hi Paul,

Could you please confirm that the DCDC6 problem has been solved in TPS65218 and it can be used for AM437x VDDS_RTC supply (as shown in the AM4378 Starter kit rev 1.1A)?

I am asking because of the below AM437x document at page 27:
https://training.ti.com/system/files/docs/sitara_boot_camp_12_am437x__technical_overview.pptxThe latest AM4378 EVM does still use the TPS78101 but on the other side the AM4378 SK does use DCDC6 so I am not 100% sure ...

I don't believe this documentation is up to date (May 2014). We are now on silicon version v2.1 so I am not sure what exactly this workaround was addressing. Could you help to post this to our INT PMIC forum? Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the comment and confirming that the latest TPS65218 silicon (rev 2.1) enables to use DCDC6 for AM437x VDDS_RTC supply.

Hi,

My customer is evaluating AM437x StarterKit EVM.

And RTC seem to occur unintentional reset when AC adapter mounting/dismounting.

Regarding DCDC6, there is no errata not mentioning on the datasheet.
Is it correct?
If there is, could you tell me it?
