BQ24251 IBAT, MODE

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24251

Hi,

My customer is  considering to use BQ24251, and I received some quesions.

Could you help to get the socket?

1-1.  On the D/S fig 7 and 8, the units of IBAT are "A".

I think that these units are too large, are these correct?

1-2.  Is the condition of the fig 7 the same as "Input UVLO" of Fault condition?

2.     When both HI_Z mode and SYSOFF are enable, which mode is preceded?

3.     Although the default value of "SYSOFF" is "X", how is this value decided?

Regards,

Kuramochi

  • Regarding 1-1, the units should be micro-A. Thanks for helping us correct the datasheet typo.
Regarding 1-2, yes. It is the same as IBAT in HiZ mode.
Regarding 2, for SYSOFF to be enabled, you have to first write a 1 to the SYSOFF bit and then remove the power from IN. If you are in HiZ mode with power at IN, then write SYSOFF bit =1 then remove power, the IC enters SYSOFF.
Regarding 3, SYSOFF auto resets from 1 to 0 when power is re-applied.
