Hey guys,

i want to monitor a battery with 10 cells.

This 10 cells can either be configured in a 5S2P setup or a 10S1P setup.

The BQ76930 is able to handle up to 10 cells in series and i was wondering if it is able to handle also a 5S2P setup. Still 10 cells but two separate strings with 5 cells in series for each string. If no, is there another opportunity to do something like that?

I don't think you can use bq76930 that way. It's for 10S in series not for 2 5S in parallel. You should consider 5S2P as 5S1P. Check out the bq76920. It might be your best solution.

Roger's right. bq76930 works for 6-10 cells in series, regardless of how many are simultaneously parallel-connected in the battery pack. In this case, you'd want to go with 2x of the bq76920.
