bqProduction

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADVANCED-BQMTESTER, BQPRODUCTION, BQMTESTER

I cannot get bqProduction to recognize my brand new HPA495 Advanced-bqmTester

- I have an EV2300 with the "USB Tester Ready" sticker.

- The 24V and 5V LEDs are Lit on the HPA495

- When "Scan Boards" is executed from the bqProduction panel, "Adapter 1" shows up with a box to edit the "Station ID", but the "Cal Board Found" is not indicated.

- The "Flash LED" function yields no response.

 - There is no voltage across the cell connections

- I know the EV2300 is operational because it will communicate with a battery pack.

- I have tried a second EV2300 (without the "Ready" sticker) and it yields the same results.

Any Suggestions?

Thanks, Larry

Did you open bqProduction using administrator mode? Do you have the latest version from the website? If these do not help then we can work offline to resolve the issue.

  • Hello Tom,

    Thanks for your response.

I was able to open in admin mode, and I am using the slu574a, which I think is the latest on the website.

I did discover before I left this afternoon that even though the 5V supply is connected, there was no 5V on the cal board bus lines. I then discovered that  all three of my EV2300s do not produce 5V on the I2C port. Should this be there constantly?

    Thanks,

    Larry

  • The bqMTester board uses the 5V from the I2C port on the EV2300 to pull-up the I2C signals. I will check this on the bench in the morning to verify. You may be able to use a power supply to pull up the VOUT pin on the EV2300 and power the pull ups. I will contact you offline tomorrow.
