Hello,

I have a question about TPS38600.

Page-18 of the data-sheet "SBVS105D" describes below.

"Cct(nF) = [tDELAY(ms) – 0.5(ms)] × 0.242 (9)"

"Using this equation, a delay time can be set to between 1.4ms to 10s."

Can I set the RESET-DELAY-TIME for 20sec using 4.7uF?

Is the Max-Cct 2.4uF for 10sec?

Please teach me the way of setting the RESET-DELAY-TIME for 20sec, if it is possible.

Hi Daisuke,
The equation will still theoretically hold for higher capacitance; however, we did not design or characterize the device with longer delay times in mind. The limitation is that the capacitor is charged by a relatively week current source. Leakage in larger capacitors could overcome the current source and cause TPS386000 to not come out of RESET.
