Hi,
when using the system present feature can the parts Q1, R1, R9, Q6, R17, J2, R36 be removed? Why is Pin 14 used for syspres feature on the evaluation board? In the BQ40Z60 Datasheet PIN15 GPIO1 is marked and used as SYS PRES Pin.

Hi,
thanks for the info, now I use pin 14 as SYSPRES and it is working. My question is if it is possible to use both SYSPRES and PRECHARGE features in the same design. If pin 14 is the SYSPRES instead of pin 15, I assumed that PRECHARGE becomes pin 15 instead of pin 14, but I can't change the state of pin 15 (it is always H) by pressing PCHG_FET_TOGGLE button. Settings / Configuration / DA register is 0x13 and IO Config register is 0x40, so PCHGBTP is 0, meaning pin 14 (sic!) is Pre-charge control output regarding the datasheet (SLUUA04C bq40z60 Programmable Battery Pack Manager Technical Reference Manual Rev C.)
Thanks!
