Hi Team,

I believe LP8556 doesn't have I2C clock stretching function.
Is my understanding correct?
I would like to confirm just in case.

  • Hi,

This is the answer from our degisn group for I2C clock stretching of LP8556.

[Clock stretching is not a problem for any of our I2C devices. We don't ever stretch the SCL clock pulses (hold the SCL signal low); most importantly, we don't care if anyone else on the bus does it. There are no timeout conditions on the I2C interface. SMBus (which is based upon I2C) does require a timeout, but we implemented a straight I2C interface.]

    Hope this helps,
