Hello all,

I want to clean my analog power supply.

For the positive supply voltage, this is no problem. I just take an LDO and place it behind my switching power supply.

But what about the negative power supply? Do you know an LDO for -5.25V / 4A output voltage with good ripple rejection?

Hi Niels,

We do not have a 4A negative LDO at this time; however, the principles in the following reference design should be able to be applied to a negative LDO such as TPS7A33 http://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-00270?keyMatch=current%20sharing&tisearch=Search-EN-Everything

Please note that the design would need to be expanded to share between four TPS7A33s.

Ryan,

thanks for pointing out this really interesting application note.
Unfortunately, I will not have enough PCB area for all this stuff.

Any other ideas how to "clean" the output of my inverting DC/DC converter?
It runs at 1.7MHz switching frequency to keep components as small as possible (space is a premium, as you know).

Hi Niels,
Yes I can appreciate space constraints. At this time I am unaware of a LDO solution at this current (except for current sharing).
