TPS650832 V5ADS3CNT register

Customer configure V5ADS3CNT register to +2% so that the output Voltage is around 5.1V. After forced shutdown by long press power button, they found the output voltage is back to 5V. I check the datasheet, and found this register is under UVLO domain. I would expect it only be reset when input voltage is too low.  May you help to clarify this?

Thanks!

Antony

  • Antony,

The UVLO domain refers to a domain based on RESET of any kind. Thus, the registers will reset upon entering Emergency Shutdown.
  • Hi Antony,

I guess that also include RESET triggered by SDWN bit in SDWNCTRL register, right?

How about the register in RTC domain?  How will they be reset?

And what is the accuracy of timing defined by FLT register for long press power button?

    Thanks!

How about the register in RTC domain? How will they be reset? As long as they have a backup battery present they will never reset. But, if there is no backup battery then they reset with the rest of the registers.

And what is the accuracy of timing defined by FLT register for long press power button? the clock running in the device is accurate by 10% so, the FLT will be accurate to the same ratio. (10 seconds +/-1 second or 6 seconds +/- 0.6 seconds)
