You will probably need to use bqStudio and reprogram the device with the default srec file.

Bqstudio stopped automatically detect bq40z60evm. Use EV2300.
Recent changes to the settings:
in "SBS Configuration" - XL = 1(red), HPE=1, CPE=1, BCAST=1
I manually choose the chip bq40z60,
in window "Battery Management Studio() Supported Target"
Very rarely successfully execute the commands: "DEVICE_NUMBER", "CHEM_ID", "RESET" ...
Set a new value "SBS Configuration" fails, an error occurs: "Operation failed because initial read of all data flash failed".
Attempting to perform a "F / W Programming" fails too often: "Program Srec: Timeout or unexpected response communicating wi
th device" or "Program Srec: Packet checksum mismatch"
Rarely "F / W Programming" is done, but the process is interrupted by the appearance of an error: "Execute Command: Timeout or unexpected response communicating with device".
So I ask: Is there another way to reset bq40z60, without bqstudio?

Can you please tell the command codes to change the value of the register "Sbs configuration" from the window "Advanced Comm SMB" in bqstudio.

We provide the data flash memory address and data length for parameters in the bqStudio program. If you cannot see them, then go to the pull down  menu Windows >> Preferences >> All Global Setting and select the SHow Advanced Views option. The physical address for the SBS Configuration register is 0x47c9 and the data length is one byte.

One other comment. The SMBus XL mode is only available to download the flash memory. It is not intended to be used for normal operation.

Thanks for your reply. If possible, send me an example of a set of instructions, I was able to set the Sbs Configuration register:
Command 1 - set the address
Command 2 - set the value of the Sbs Configuration
I did not find in the documentation how to do it.

I selected SHow Advanced Views. But I did not see flash memory address. If it were possible, I would have sent you a screenshot.

Overwrite the configuration register 47с9. I unplug and turn on the power bq40z60. Bqstudio again automatically detects bq40z60. Also I saw the register addresses in bqstudio.
