Hi,

I'm developing a product with BQ3060 and we are in stages of prototype production.

One thing we found out is that the learning cycle is going to take too long to be performed on production pieces.

How can I avoid having to go through learning cycle on every single chip if the battery is going to be the same spec for all of them?

You can run a learning cycle on a pack and set the Full Charge Capacity parameter to the the learned value in the golden file. The gauge will then use that value for the initial FCC when the cells are attached. MaxErr will be set to 100%, but it update as the pack is used.

Would MaxErr still update even if the unit never goes through an entire qualified discharge?
My end user may never let the battery run down to that level.
