Hi Everyone,

I know you recommend total output capacitor up to 68uF, but my customer want to use larger capacitor such as 100uF or 200uF. Then please let me ask following question.

Can TPS562210 keep stability with larger capacitor such as 100uF or 200uF?
Please let me know solution to keep stability with larger capacitor, for example adding feed forward capacitor
Please let me know the concern due to larger capacitor, for example decreased stability, increased inrush current or extended soft-start time...

I have not directly tested these parts with larger output capacitance. I think 100 uF is definitely not a problem. I have used up to 220 uF on similar devices with no issue. If you are using a larger capacitor, I would use an inductor lower than nominal to keep the LC corner frequency in range. Under no circumstances is Cff permittted.

Hi John,

I understood that the lower inductor need to be used to keep LC corner frequency, and Cff is not required.
Can you tell me the device name you tested just for my information?

I don't have that information handy right now. I have tested with more than one DCAP2 device though.
