TPS63060 design criteria

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS63030, TPS63060

I am considering using the TPS63030 in a design.

My application requires 3 voltage rails: 3.3, 3.8, & 5.2.

I would use a TPS63030 to regulate the 3.8 V rail which would then feed an LDO (like the TPS77001) to regulate the 3.3 V rail.  The maximum output current of the 3.8 V rail is 350mA.

A second TPS63030 would  regulate the 5.2 V rail.  The maximum output current of this rail is 100mA

Both TPS63030 devices would be powered from a 3.0 V to 6.0 V source.

The total capacitance on the 5.2 V rail must be less then 65 uF.  My circuitry downstream of the 5.2 V regulator currently contains 46 uF of capacitance.  I am working to limit the capacitance to 35 uF.

The total combined capacitance of the 3.8 V and 3.3 V rails must be less than 100 uF.  The circuity downstream of these regulators currently contains 27 uF of capacitance.

The example application in the D/S cannot fit my application.  Can the value of the inductor be increased and the values of the output capacitors be reduced to fit within these bounds?

Ideally I would like the value output capacitors to total no more than 20 uF.  The inductor can be almost any size.

Thanks.
